No. A/14/NSP/MA-2022: In continuation to this Directorate notification of even no. dated 2nd November 2022, it is hereby informed to all concerned that the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009 makes it obligatory for the Government to provide free and compulsory elementary education (classes I to VIII) to each and every child. Accordingly, only students studying in classes IX and X are covered under Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.
Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India vide letter No. SS-1/2020-Scholarship-MoMA dated 29.11.2022 has conveyed the decision of the Ministry to award Scholarship to the students of Classes IX and X only under Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme of Minorities from the year 2022-23.
The Institute Nodal Officer (INO)/District Nodal Officer (DNO) are directed to verify applications only for classes IX and X under the Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme of Minorities.
